John Hogie

John Orville Hogie, 60, of Nowata, passed away Friday, October 4, 2013 at Bartlesville Health and Rehab. He was born September 19, 1953 in Nowata to Gladys (Cook) and Marvin Hogie. He was a lifetime Nowata resident and a 1972 graduate of Nowata High School. John was a self-employed carpenter and home builder. He graduated from OSU Firefighting Academy and was a volunteer firefighter for Nowata for a number of years. He enjoyed collecting O Gauge Model trains and Snoopy collectibles. John is survived by two children, Anthony R. Hogie and Marissa Hogie both of Bartlesville; a brother, Jerry Hogie and wife Marie of Bartlesville; two grandchildren, Kayleigh Hogie and Kyler Dans; two nephews, Mark Hogie of Las Vegas, NV and Keith Hogie of Cottage Grove, MN.
