Joe Dennis

Dateline: Southwest City, MO Joe Dee Dennis, 71, the son of Jim and Ida Nix Dennis, was born May 11, 1935 in Delaware County, OK and died July 9, 2006 at his home in Southwest City, Mo., where he had lived for sixteen years. Mr. Dennis worked as a laborer, both on farms and later in a sawmill. Mr. Dennis married his wife, Ollie (Kingfisher) in 1973. She preceded him in death in 1994. Survivors include three daughters; Tina Uhl of Salina, KS; Tonya Wolfe of Salina, KS; Laura Bates and her husband Fred of Sulphur Springs, Arkansas; one son; Joe Dennis, of Southwest City, Missouri; three brothers; Edward Dennis of Winfield, Ks; Leroy Dennis of Hominy, OK; Leo Dennis of Paris, TX; one sister; Gladys Owens of Winfield, KS; He is also survived by five grandchildren. Graveside services will be Thursday, July 13, 2006, 2:00 PM at the Sycamore Springs Cemetery in Jay. Interment will immediately follow. The family will receive friends at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK on Wednesday from 6 until 8 PM. Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK.
