Jerry Maynard

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK 918-253-3222 --- Jerry Lee Maynard, 64 year old, Jay, Oklahoma resident, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at his home. Jerry was born on May 28, 1950 in Afton, Oklahoma to Lyman and Ellen (Mandeville) Maynard. Jerry grew up in Jay and graduated from Jay High School in 1968. He then attended NEO A&M College. He married Janie Baker on August 12, 1972 in Jay, OK. Through the years, Jerry worked in construction, owned the Pit Stop and worked for Delaware County District 2. He enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for fishing, hunting, and gigging. Most of all he loved to be with his family. He will be greatly missed. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Janie of the home; one daughter Kylie Dawn Cate and her husband Jake of Jay, OK; one granddaughter Taloulah Jane Cate of Jay, OK; two brothers: Bob Maynard of Grove, OK, and Jack Maynard and his wife Ruth of Zena, OK; four sisters: Bonnie Blank of Jay, OK, Becky Stevenson and her husband John of Jay, OK, Nancy Jones of Jay, OK, and Rosie Pry and her husband Ron of Bella Vista, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends. A memorial service for Jerry will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Ross Acres on Lake Eucha. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK.
