Jerry Hanes Jr.

Jerry Don Hanes, Jr. 50 year-old Vinita resident, died Sunday July 8, 2012 at his home. He was born in Vinita on October 2, 1961 to Jerry Don and Patricia (DonCarlos) Hanes. Jerry graduated from Vinita High School in 1979. He joined the United States Air Force in October of 1980 and was honorably discharged in April of 1986; He was a Jet Engine Mechanic Specialist. Jerry had worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Cherokee Casino in Tulsa for several years. The family includes: his daughter, Autumn Hanes of Victorville, California, his son, Wesley Hanes of Vinita; his parents Jerry and Pat Hanes of Vinita; brothers, David Hanes of Tehachapi, California, Rusty Hanes of Vinita; sister Shellie Ferguson of Vinita; grandchildren, Sam and Gabriel; aunt and uncle, Roscoe and Shirley Hanes of Claremore, Oklahoma; and numerous other relatives. The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel with Mr. Joey Lair officiating.
