J D Hilliard

J.D. Hilliard, age 66, Wyandotte, OK. passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020 in Joplin, MO.

He was born June 14, 1954 in Neosho, MO. to the late Joseph Edward Hilliard and Dorothy Edith Reed Hilliard. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, three sisters, Geneva McLoud, Berdean "Deanie" Golding, and Margarette "Joan" Wilson.

J.D. was the baby of the family and the only boy and spoiled by his big sisters, especially Georgia and Joan who took him everywhere they went. He served a short time in the Army at age 19 in Fort Riley Kansas and during his service received a National Defense Service Medal Expert Sharpshooter (M-16) Commendation. His favorite place was the family farm, looking for arrow heads and fishing.

Survivors include a sister, Georgia Weber of Colorado, Several nieces and nephews, and loyal companion "Peewee."

Memorial service will be Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Worley-Luginbuel Chapel, Grove.

Cremation services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.
