JAY: James "Jimmy" Ross Layman, age 45, passed away of a sudden illness in Tupelo, Mississippi Monday, July 21, 2008. Jim was born on February 15, 1963 in Jay, Oklahoma to Ross and Charlotte (Callus) Layman. He attended Grove public schools. He married Janet Bennett on May 1, 1996. Jim worked as a track hoe operator for a gas pipeline company. Survivors include his parents Ross and Charlotte Layman of Jay, two children Colby and Cassidy Layman of Blanco, New Mexico, one brother Michael Layman of rural Grove. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 1008 at the Butler Baptist Church with Brother Jim Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Butler Cemetery.
