James Fortney

James William Fortney Vinita resident passed away at Claremore Indian Hospital in Claremore, OK on Saturday, June 17, 2006. He was born on July 7, 1959 in Bishop, California to James Ottis and Sylvia (Daughtery) Fortney. He worked as an Oilfield worker for many years. Mr. Fortney was preceded in death by his nephew, Aaron J. Kollars, his sister Serritta Martin and two aunts Billie Redeagle and Jean Meeks. Survivors include his wife of the home Mary Fortney, his parents James and Sylvia Fortney of Ponca City, three children Sandy Nicole Fortney of Texas, Kelly Kline of Mississippi, and Jamison Fortney of Ohio, three grandchildren Ricky, Journey Mia, both of Texas and Logan Smith of Mississippi, four sisters Rita Green, of Fairfax, Dianna Calvert of Colorado, Lavelda Fortney of Colorado and Danita Kollars of Vinita. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel in Pawhuska.
