James Bresnehen

James Madison Bresnehen, 92 year old Miami resident, died Monday May 13, 2013 at his home. He was born April 17, 1921 in Vinita to Daniel and Anna (Chandler) Bresnehen. James served his country during world war II in the Army Air Corps as a flight mechanic. He married Nora Florence Bottom on May 21, 1949 in Dekalb, Illinois. James worked for Wurlitzer Piano after the service, he helped build a piano that went to the White House during Franklin D. Roosevelts Presidency. He retired from the University of Northern Illinois after 22 years with them, and later moved to Miami from Malta, Illinois. The family includes his wife Nora of the home, two children, Phyllis Bates and James Michael Bresnehen both of Miami; a sister, Kathryn Durin of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; grandchildren, Nick Bresnehen and Jamie Spohn. He was preceded in death by his parents, and several siblings. The graveside service will be at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Timpson Chapel Cemetery near Vinita. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
