Jack Buneta

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Jack H. Buneta, 70 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on June 10, 2018 in Joplin, Missouri. Jack was born on December 8, 1947 in Flat River, Missouri. He was the son of Paul and Mary (Kingsland) Buneta. After graduating high school, Jack proudly served in the United States Army. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran receiving a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Vietnamese Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medl and a Silver Star. Jack was an American Hero. He also loved to hunt and fish, a true outdoorsman. He loved his family and friends with the passion that he had for life itself. Jack worked for AT&T in the Telecommunications industry. He and his wife Polly Anna moved from Nevada to the Grove area in 2008. Jack was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Polly Anna Buneta, his two sons Jon Buneta and Roger Mirabella, his daughter Tami Mirabella, his brother Martin "Bear" Buneta and his sister Melody Buneta-Nichols. Jack was blessed with seven grandchildren; Emmy, Rachael, Tori, Nathan, Tyler, Kaylee and Elyse. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 14, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Tham N. Nguyen officiating. Memorial donations can be made in Jack's name to the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church Building Fund or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
