J. Scott

J.C. Scott, age 81, a resident of Vinita, passed away Thursday, October 2, 2008. He was born January 6, 1927 to Earl and Anna Lee (Cloud) Scott. Mr. Scott worked on the Apollo, Skylab and Space Shuttle missions at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. He retired from Rockwell International in 1982. He was a 32nd. Degree mason and Shriner and member of the Merritt Island Lodge # 353, Merritt Island, Florida. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific, and a member of the occupational forces in Japan at the conclusion of the war. He is survived by four children, Ginger Cannon of Collierville, Tennessee, Linda Reid of San Leandro, California, Susan Adams of Raytown, Missouri, John T. Scott of Baker, Florida, 17 grandchildren and 12 great grand-children. Mr. Scott was laid to rest Fairview Cemetery in Vinita Oklahoma on Tuesday October 7, 2008.
