Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma, 918-786-2261.Imogene "Jean" Rice DuBois, 89, Grove, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at Grove Nursing Center, Grove. Jean was born on March 11, 1929, in Grove to Newton Rice and Abbie Boyd Rice. She grew up in the Grove area. She married Edward Leon DuBois in Pittsburg, Kansas, after he returned from World War II, and they were married for more than 65 years before his death in October 2011. They lived most of their life in Palm Beach County, Florida, where Leon was a vegetable farmer. They retired to Grove in 1973 and opened Grove Real Estate. Jean had many hobbies, but her love was teaching Sunday School, which she did for more than 60 years. Jean was a licensed real estate broker at Grove Real Estate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; two sisters and one brother. Jean is survived by her daughters: Joanna Boylan and husband Jack, Valdosta, Georgia, Rita Santamaria and husband Henry of Houston, Texas, Patti Simpson and husband Berry of Tulsa; son David DuBois and wife Michele of Ketchum; sisters Marge Landrum and Ruby Rice, and brother Curtis Rice. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Jeff Burgelin and wife Alex, Michael Brugelin and wife Jennifer, Chris Burgelin and wife Astrid, Kelly Shearer and husband Rob, Kimberly Dydalewicz and husband, Kevin, Anglia Isaac and husband Matt, Jeremy Bates and wife Rachael, Andrew DuBois and wife Brittany, Ashley King and husband AJ, and AnnMarie DuBois; 12 great-grandchildren: Lauren and Brooke Burgelin, Drew and Abby Burgelin, Beck and Bella Burgelin, Shelby, Jackson and Justin Shearer, Kaden and Knox Dydalewicz, Brianna Isaac, and Madison and Evan Bates; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will take place at 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 9 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove. Services will take place at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Grove's First Baptist Church, Grove.
