Graveside services for Hazel Leona Reeder are 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Wendell Abbott officiating. Family will be receiving friends Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Benjamin Funeral Service. Hazel Leona Reeder, 93, lifetime Nowata resident, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Nowata Nursing Center. She was born February 28, 1922 in Nowata, OK to William J. Tate, Sr. and Anna Ynettie Crouch. Mrs. Reeder was a homemaker and a loving mother. She was a member of the Armstrong Community Church. During World War II she worked as a riveter in Kansas City, Kansas. Mrs. Reeder enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She will be missed by all who knew her. Hazel is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Samide of Hardin, TX., Neta Cunningham and husband Bob of Alluwe, OK; a brother, Carl Tate and wife Naomi of Grove, OK., twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, J.R. Reeder; two sons, Gary Reeder and Leroy Reeder, two grandsons, a sister, a brother, and one son-in-law.
