ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Gordon Patrick "Pat" King, age 68 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, in the Canadian Valley Integris Health Center, Yukon, Oklahoma. Pat was born in Borger, Texas on February 14, 1948. He was the son of Thomas "Gordon" King and Mary Kathryn (Johnson) King. Pat grew up in Phillips, Texas. The family moved to Bartlesville in 1964. Pat graduated from College High School in Bartlesville. He furthered his education by attending OSU, graduating with a Ph.D. in Agronomy. He had lived in Tulsa, Bartlesville, Durant and El Reno during the last 20 years. Pat was of the Methodist Faith. He was employed with the U.S. Government as a Soil Scientist. He loved to fly fish, and he aspired to retire to Colorado and be a fishing guide. Pat's father passed away in 2013 and Pat cared for him for several years prior to the elder King's death. Survivors include sisters, Karen K. Fielder of Houston, Texas and Dianna Edmondson and her husband, Bill, of Corinth, Texas; half-sister, Vicki Lee Cooper and her husband, Jason, of Cedarvale, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Pat will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at 2:00 PM, in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
