Glenda Rutherford

Glenda Sue (Williams) Rutherford, age 68, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012 in Grove, Oklahoma. Glenda was the daughter of William T. and Ella Mae (Caldwell) Owens, she was born on November 2, 1943 in Clarksville, Arkansas. After graduating from high school Glenda worked as a stewardess for American Airlines for many years. Glenda was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Rutherford on June 15, 1967. Moving from Tulsa to Grove in 1973, they worked side by side with Bobby in the machine shop. They established Rutherford Quality Machine and then started Pride Plating a few years later. Glenda Sue was the President of the Women's Golf League at Patricia Island, member of the Quilting Club, she enjoyed dancing, and was involved with ministering to women in prison. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her loving family. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Hickory Grove Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Glenda will be laid to rest beside her husband in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
