Luginbuel Funeral Home - Langley 918-256-5555 Glen DeWayne Chism, known as "Capaw" to many... 73 year old Langley resident, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 22, 2014. Glen was born in Marthaville, LA on December 25, 1940 to Jessie and Thelma (Berry) Chism. Following high school he proudly served two years in the United States Army and 3 years inactive reserve. He also worked at TRW Cinch for 35 years as a machinest. On March 4, 1965 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Billie Marie Shawnee and together they raised three children. Glen enjoyed fishing, camping, attending sporting events, was an avid OU football fan, and loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Vinita. Survivors include his children: Glen Chism of Wisconsin, Richard Chism and wife Karen of Ketchum, and Charlene Allensworth and husband Kevin of Big Cabin, grandchildren: Bianca Allensworth, Samantha Watters, Katie Chism, Jeriamiah Chism, Clark Chism, and Sowelu Chism, great grandchildren: Charity Hull, Casey Hull, Dakota Allensworth, Kaydin Watters, Kameron Watters, and Brianna Allensworth, siblings: Donnie Chism, Lucille Adams, Mitchell Chism, and Clyde Chism all of Louisianna, brother-in-laws: Keith Shawnee, Lynnie Shawnnee, and Mark Shawnee, sister-in-laws: Linda "Soupy" Willis, and Beverly Pope, as well as his very close cousins Huey Welborn and Selwyn "Wendy" Wilkins. He is preceded in death by his father Jessie Chism, mother Thelma Berry Chism, step mother Nelcy Chism, wife Billie Chism, brother Billy Chism, and granddaugther Daena Allensworth. The wake will be held each day from Tuesday-Thursday at Glen's home in Langley. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the Freewill Baptist Church of Vinita with Pastors Justin Turner and David Piffer officiating. Interment will follow at Shawnee Cemetery in White Oak. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com
