Geraldine Neill

Geraldine Motsinger Neill was born March 28, 1925 in Grant City, Missouri to Wayne and Eva Elliott Motsinger. She passed away May 4, 2014, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Gerry (or Betty as she was known as a child) grew up in Atchison, Kansas where she met and married Melvin E. Neill in 1946. After several years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, They were transferred by Melvin's company to Houston, Texas in 1953. There she began her career with Avon Products, Inc., starting as a sales representative and retiring as a divisional manager. She returned to Atchison for a short time and did volunteer work in the community. Gerry was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother, Courtland Motsinger. She is survived by daughters, Sherry Neill Kent and husband, Ray, of Tyler, Texas; and Rita Neill Manzelmann-Browne and husband, Matt, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was Mimi to Travis Neill Kent and wife, Belinda, of Round Rock, Texas; Rae-Ann Kent Richbourg and husband, Ken, of Tyler, Texas; Mikhael Manzelmann Reed and husband, Chad, and Jacob Elliott Manzelmann and wife, Taylor, all of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Those that knew her as Mimi the Great are Caroline and Joseph Richbourg, Rebecca and Megan Kent and Kelby Manzelmann.
