Frank Northrup

Frank Stanley Northrup, 91 year old Grove resident passed away Saturday December 10, 2011 at Integris Grove Hospital. Frank was born on July 18, 1920 in Hopewell, New Jersey to William and Marian (Erickson) Northrup. He graduated from Belmont High School in Los Angeles, California in 1938. Frank was a Police Sergeant for the Los Angeles Police Department. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II from 1942-1945. Frank was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed painting with watercolors and watching baseball. Frank is preceded in death by his parents, William and Marian Northrup. Frank is survived by his wife June (Ross) Northrup of the home; one son, Edward Northrup and wife Barbara of Castle Rock, Colorado; two daughters, Susan Hand and husband Gary of Sacramento, California & Nancy West and husband Ed of Grove, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Private family services will be held at a later date.
