Florence Phipps

Florence Mae (Davis) Phipps, 82 year-old Wyandotte resident, died early Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Osborne Care & Rehabilitation Facility in Miami. She was born May 2, 1930 in Lebanon, Missouri to Arthur Laverne and Mollie Katherine(Beard) Davis. Florence was a member of the Free Set Church in Seneca, Missouri. She loved to embroider, take rides with the grandchildren and garden. The family includes: her children, Donald Shelby and wife Debbie of Wyandotte, Robert Shelby of Independence, KS, Janet Keithley and husband Jimmie, Larry Shelby and wife Connie of Pryor, Carolyn Moss and husband Floyd of Bluejacket, Nannette Bible and husband David of Vinita and Ricky Shelby and wife Dana of Adair. There are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, thirteen siblings and a son Jackie Selby in 1980. The funeral will be held Friday December 14, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel with Jimmie Keithley, officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
