Faye Borgstrom

Faye Borgstrom 83 year-old lifetime Big Cabin resident, died late Friday, April 24, 2009 at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born March 1, 1926 in Big Cabin to William Earnest and Maude (Lauchner) Campbell. Faye graduated from Big Cabin Schools, where she was a basketball player. She married Cole Borgstrom on January 23, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas; He preceded her in death on August 19, 1991. Faye worked at the Big Cabin School as a cook for many years; she had also worked at Bill Headley Grocery. Faye was a member of the Big Cabin Christian Church, she and her sisters sang at many revivals, and church gatherings. Faye loved her family and taking care of them, she was also an avid OU fan. She is survived by her three children, Jimmy Borgstrom of Sulphur, Louisiana, Johnny Borgstrom and wife Debbie of Big Cabin, Linda Oyler and fiancée` Jimmy Boyd of Owasso, sisters, Thelma Hentz of Big Cabin and Pauline Lassiter of Tulsa, seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, with one on the way, there are also numerous other relatives surviving. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, sisters, Martha Trundle in 2000, Della Harlan in 2007, and Helen Haney in 2008. The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Luginbuel Chapel with Pastor Max Adams officiating. Interment will follow at the Big Cabin Cemetery.
