Ezelle Cochrane

August 18, 1918 — December 29, 2010

Ezell Cochrane It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved and loving mother, Ezell Cochrane, passed away after a short illness on December 29, 2010 at the age of 93. Ezell will be remembered by all who knew her as a beacon of warmth, graciousness, fun, and positivity. She was spunky and smart and sweet and sassy and stubborn and we love her beyond words. Reuel and youngest son, Joe, moved to Big Cabin in 1999. Throughout her life, Ezell retained her fiercely independent Arizona spirit, loving to camp and picnic in the desert, birdwatch, read, and spend time with her family. The youngest of four sisters, Ezell married the love of her life, Reuel Cochrane, at age 17, and they shared 72 wonderful years together until his death in 2008. Ezell began a career in journalism in her native Arizona, but soon after, Reuel, Ezell and their three sons began a series of moves to such diverse locations as California, Florida, Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Virginia. Ezell, Reuel and youngest son, Joe, moved to Big Cabin in 1999. Throughout her life, Ezell retained her fiercely independent Arizona spirit, loving to camp and picnic in the desert, birdwatch, read, and spend time with her family. She was the beloved mother of Joe, Errol and his wife Sheila, and the late Reuel II, cherished grandmother of Caitie, and dear Aunt Skeet to her nephews, nieces, and cousins, Ezell was truly one of a kind. We are privileged to have been part of her family and we will miss her forever. Reuel and youngest son, Joe, moved to Big Cabin in 1999. Throughout her life, Ezell retained her fiercely independent Arizona spirit, loving to camp and picnic in the desert, birdwatch, read, and spend time with her family. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
