Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918 -256 -5555 ........ Ernest Junior Hoodenpyle passed away Saturday May 14, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Ok.. He was born on October 17, 1939 in Big Cabin, Ok. to Ernest Lee Hoodenpyle and Era Jane (Dye) Hoodenpyle. Ernest had lived in Big Cabin his whole life except when serving his country in United States Airforce. He grew up and attended Big Cabin school graudating and becoming employed at Eastern State Hospital. On October 5, 1961 he married his sweetheart Doris Jean Jennings. Ernest joined the U.S. Airforce and served in Vietnam returning to Big Cabin, retiring from Eastern State Hospital and living the remainder of his life. He was United Pentecostal by faith and attended the Apostolic Life Tabernacle Church. Ernest enjoyed bowling and working on his farm. Ernest is survived by his wife Doris of the home Big Cabin, 3 sons Roger Hoodenpyle and wife Kathy of Tulsa, Ok., Timothy Hoodenpyle and wife Tanya of Ft. Worth, Tx., Rick Hoodenpyle and wife Amy of Bahama, North Carolina. 2 daughters Penny Dick of Owasso, Ok. and Tisha Lemasters and husband Joseph of Big Cabin, Ok.. The family will recieve friends on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Apostolic Life Tabernacle with pastor Dale Stephens officiating.
