Dewey Edgar Ward Funeral services for Dewey Edgar Ward will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday July 15, 2006, at Benjamin Funeral Home, Nowata, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Dewey Edgar Ward, 52, of Bartlesville passed away on July 12th, 2006. He was born in Nowata, OK on May 16, 1954 to the late Earl Edgar (Pete) and Violet Diane Ward. Dewey was a 1972 graduate of Nowata High School and attended Tulsa Junior College and Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. He started his employment at Phillips Petroleum Company in 1978, continued at AAI, and was currently employed by Siemens. On November 26th 1982, Dewey married Karen Sue Shinn. He enjoyed many hobbies such as music and relaxing at home with his family and pets. Dewey was also a member of the Nowata Seventh Day Adventist Church. Dewey is survived by his wife, Karen Ward of the home, his daughter Abigail Ward of the home, his son, Peter Ward of Bartlesville, and his three sisters, Patty Taylor of Bartlesville, Pam Sloan of Tulsa, Penny Lawrence of Tulsa, and their families.
