Dewayne Miller

Dewayne Aquiller "Pete, Jake" Miller, loved and cherished by all who knew him, passed away on July 14, 2020, in his home, at the age of 71.
Pete was born on May 14, 1949 to Jake and Thelma Miller in Joplin, MO. He married Rebecca Clopton on March 14, 1993 and shared a blended family of two daughters, Melissa and Stephanie, and four sons, Christopher, Jason, Timothy and Joshua. He is preceded in death by his parents; Jake and Thelma Miller, his sisters; Isabell, Janell, Waymeth, Charlott and Donna Lee, one son; Timothy and one grandson Joshua R.
Pete was a devoted husband and father, and a doting grandfather to 32 grand/great grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking, fishing and camping, was a pack leader for the Boy Scouts of America, donated his time to Crosslines and sat on the Board of the Oronogo Cemetery. He was a spiritual man, standing strong on the foundation of our Lord, Jesus Christ. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A funeral viewing is scheduled on Friday,  July 17, 2020, at Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home, 711 S. Main St. Grove, OK from 12-4 p.m. with cremation to follow. Fellowship for family and friends will follow at Grove Splash Pad and Park.
