Delbert Ward

Delbert Charles Ward, passed away at the Monroe Manor Nursing Center in Jay, OK, on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the age of 75. Delbert was born February 16, 1938 in Westville, OK, the son of the late Getty Ward and Juanita (Masters) Ward. Delbert grew up in the Westville area but lived the majority of his life in the Jay, OK area. Delbert drove a truck for 36 years all across the country. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, gardening, but most of all he loved to be around his family and friends especially his grandkids. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter; and three brothers: Kenneth Ward, Baxter Paul Ward, and Darrell Ward. He is survived by his five children: Anthony Ward and his wife Carm of Eucha, OK, Teresa Summerfield of Grove, OK, Amber Ward of Eucha, OK, Rex Ward and his wife Teresa of Bella Vista, AR, and Debbie Barnett of West Mountain, TX; 17 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother Gerald Ward of Dodge Ridge, AR; former wife Alice Ward of Eucha, OK; and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 2PM with Pastor Johnny Wayne Summerfield, presiding. The burial will follow at the Round Springs Cemetery in Eucha, OK. The family will greet friends from 6PM to 8PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK. Friends and family may leave notes of encouragement by viewing Delbert's Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com. Casket bearers will be Anthony Q. Ward, Mathew Barnes, Travis Mouse, Donnie Summerfield, Gary Mouse, and Elmer Panther. Honorary casket bearers will be J.B. Martin, Jr Tagg and Adam Stick
