Darrell Gene Carter, 33, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at St John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. Darrell was born December 27, 1986 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Randy and Jennifer (Manley) Carter. He attended the Nowata Public School system where he graduated with the Class of 2006. In his spare time, he liked riding his John Deere gator. His interests included video games, playing his guitar on the porch swing, and watching scary movies. Darrell never met a stranger and was friends with everyone he encountered. He loved playing with his nieces, nephews and spending time with his family and friends. His passing will leave a void in countless lives, but his memory will live on in all who met him. Darrell had a big heart and loved everyone he met. He was a wonderful and joyous person, a light in this dark world. He only wanted to know how you were and if you had seen the movie he was watching or the game he was playing so he could talk to you about it. He will be dearly missed & never forgotten.

Preceding him in death is his paternal grandfather Darrell Eugene Carter, maternal grandfather Ronald Gene Manley, Sr. and step grandfather Ralph B. Griffin, paternal great grandparents Adeline and Haris Lee Stanart and Dale and Dorothy Carter, maternal great grandparents Merle and Ruby Manley and Clyde and Minnie Hagebusch.

Darrell is survived by his parents: Randy and Jennifer Carter of the home, two siblings: Amber Renfroe and husband Vince of Nowata, OK, Randall Carter and wife Amanda of Nowata, OK, Nieces and nephews: RJ Minton, Addy Renfroe, Della Renfroe, Cash Renfroe, Elliette Renfroe, Davon Carter, Veralynn Carter, Avery Carter, and paternal grandmother: Judy Gail Griffin of Nowata, OK, and maternal grandmother Carroll Sue Manley, of Nowata, and many other aunts, uncles, friends, and family.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 5-7 p.m., at the Benjamin Funeral Home in Nowata, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the His Life Church in Nowata, Oklahoma, with Pastor Randall Jones officiating.
