Clarence Alexander "Sonny" Johnson, age 81 of Ketchum, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Sonny was born in Kenwood, Oklahoma on October 16, 1929, the son of James and Dasie (Custer) Johnson. On December 6, 1962 he was united in marriage to Colleen Page and together raised 9 children. Sonny enjoyed fishing, raising hogs, squirrel hunting, playing horseshoes, spending time with his family, and working his lawn care business. Survivors include his wife Colleen Johnson of the home, 8 children: Thenya Morton and husband Shawn of Grand Lake, Charley Johnson and wife Janet of Ketchum, Phylets Johnson and wife Cassie of Ketchum, LaQueta Holderness and husband Patrick of the Coves, Quanetta Vaughn and husband Jessie of Vinita, LaTrena Forkner and husband Grant of Ketchum, Bradley Johnson and wife Tina of Langley, Alexander Johnson of Ketchum, 23 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 4 brothers: Elmer Jenkins of Iowa, Rufus Johnson of Vinita, Manuel Johnson of Vinita, and Stanley Johnson of Jay. He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Church on the Lake with Pastor Allen Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Ketchum Cemetery.
