Clara Lewis

Turkey Ford, OK - Clara Louise Lewis, 64, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri. She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 8, 1946 to William and Margaret Bell (Sawvel) Matlock. Louise married James H. Lewis in Miami, Oklahoma forty-seven years ago. She worked as a restaurant manager and lived in the Turkey Ford area all of her life. She was a member of Bar None Cowboy Church. Louise enjoyed arts and crafts, crocheting, quilting, and gardening. She was most proud of her children and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband James, of Turkey Ford; her children Anita (Lewis) Burleson and her husband Jerry of Bentonville, AR, Darrell Lewis and his wife, Pam of Anderson, MO, Ronnie Lewis and his wife, Sharla of Bonner Springs, KS, Mark Lewis and Travis Lewis both of Turkey Ford, OK; grandchildren Brandi and Jeff Morgan of Bella Vista, AR, Alicia Lyon and Chris Springer of Rogers, AR, Kimberly McCratic and Tyler Shockley of Powell, MO, Caleb and Kelsey Lewis along with her three brothers and six sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, two twin sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK. Burial will follow at Howard Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Ellis Family Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com
