Christopher Moore

Christopher John Moore, 31 year-old resident of Monkey Island, died early Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the O. U. Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born March 8, 1976 in Vinita to James Dale and Sharon (Carson) Moore. Chris graduated from Vinita High School in 1994 and received his Masters Degree from Oklahoma University. Chris had taught science at N.E.O. A & M College, Vinita, Miami and Bluejacket Schools. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Vinita and an Eagle Scout. Chris served as student council sponsor and mentor to many of his students. He loved teaching and working with students. Chris will be remembered as a very special person to his family and friends. The family includes; his mother Sharon, his sister Laura Curl, a brother, Scott Moore and wife Shawnna all of Vinita; his nieces and nephews, Sydney, Jarett, Cade, Jaci, Rebecca and Justin. He was preceded in death by his father, James Dale Moore in October of 2001. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. on Sunday March 9, 2008 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday, March 10, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Vinita, with Pastor Bob Johns officiating.
