Charles Hampton

Jay, Oklahoma Charles "Aseph" Hampton Charlie died Sunday January 14, 2007 at the Integris Grove General Hospital at the age of 58. Charlie was born March 16, 1948 to Thomas Chilton and Alice Madeline (Runabout) Hampton at Claremore, Ok. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict receiving the Purple Heart. He worked as a Rock Mason and was a member of the Piney Baptist Church at Jay, Ok. Survivors include two brothers: Millard Hampton of Claremore, Ok., and Jim Hampton of Sapulpa, Ok. One sister, Ella Jane Jones of Colcord, Ok. Along with several nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Thomas Chilton Hampton, Jr. Services will be 10:00 AM Friday January 19, 2007 at the Piney Baptist Church at Jay, Ok. Interment will follow at the Piney Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 7:00 PM Thursday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home at Jay, Ok
