Charlene Lois LaBarr Charlene LaBarr was born September 11, 1934, in Nowata, Oklahoma to Charles H. and Dixie A. (Sorrells) Ryan. She died at her home in Nowata Thursday, July 20, 2006. She was the fourth born in a family of eight children. Sisters and brothers include Dotti Meade and her husband Murrell of Temecula, California, Betty Hicks and her husband Paul, of Nowata, Shirley Whitchurch of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Richard Ryan of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Glen Ryan and his wife Katie of Mannford, Oklahoma, and Dee Armstrong, and her husband Bob, of Nowata. Charlene has always been a wonderful sister and also a wonderful aunt to twenty eight nieces and nephews who love her dearly. Charlene married William Ronald LaBarr on May 28, 1953, in Delaware, Oklahoma. Charlene and Bill's children are Jim LaBarr and Jeannine Haugh, of Tulsa, Mike LaBarr, and his wife Sheri, of Claremore, Mark LaBarr, and his wife Tonya, of Nowata, and Tim LaBarr, and his wife Stacey of San Antonio, Texas. Charlene has six grandchildren, Chase LaBarr, Erin LaBarr, Julie Michelle LaBarr, Ashley LaBarr, Lori LaBarr, Hayden Brock LaBarr, and one great grandson, Christian Ryan LaBarr. Preceding Charlene in death was her parents, a brother, Bud Allen Ryan, daughters-in-law, Diana Kay LaBarr, and Brenda Lucille LaBarr, and a grandson, Luke Wayne LaBarr. To know her was to love her. She opened her heart and her home to anyone that needed love or help. She was an inspiration to all that came in contact with her. Online condolences can be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
