Cecil Soldier

Cecil Soldier, age 75, died on Saturday October 22, 2011 at Integris Grove General in Grove, Oklahoma. Cecil was born on September 15, 1936 in Eucha, Oklahoma. He was the son of Whitaker and Maggie (O'Field) Soldier. Cecil was a lifetime resident of the area. He was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church; he enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. Cecil worked as a Funeral Assistant for Lawson's Funeral Home. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Cecilia and two brothers Jack and Andy Soldier. He is survived by two sons; Roger Byrd and his wife Carol, and Rodney Soldier. Cecil was blessed with one grandson; Waylon Tucker. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 28, 2011 at Round Springs Cemetery in Eucha, Oklahoma with Reverend Richard Soldier officiating.
