Cecil Robbins

July 29, 1957 — January 19, 2016

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222. Cecil James Robbins was born on July 29, 1957 in Tahlequah, OK to Sam and Lucinda Robbins. Cecil, 58 year old resident of Colcord, OK, left this world surrounded by family at his home on January 19, 2016. Cecil attended school at Oaks Indian Mission and Kansas Public Schools where he met his wife, Rita of 43 years. He always told the story of how Rita would steal his pencils and flirt with him. He worked at Allens Canning Company, Simmons Foods and Peterson Industries until his illness took over. He was a Peterson's employee for 28 years. Cecil loved to travel and grill every Saturday when his Sooners were playing. We will miss him yelling "Boomer" or "they are a second half team, they got it". Cecil was an awesome dad, a friend to many and the World's Greatest PaPa. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam and mother, Lucinda, two brothers, Rick and Tommy Vann and one niece Theresa Vann and his in-laws, Charley and Lydia Foreman and 2 best friends, Wendell Cummings and Wayne Russell. He leaves behind his wife, Rita of the home, daughter, Chrystal of Kansas, OK and son AJ (wife Joy) of Clouds Creek, Oklahoma. Three grandchildren that he loved with all his heart, Jordan, Brenden and Shelbie Jaymes. One brother, Bill Vann of Phoenix, Arizona and 4 sisters, Kalina Thorton (husband Bud) of Banning, California, Christina Valliere of Riverside, California and LuAnn Taylor of Anaheim, California, Gwen Goingsnake of Tahlequah, OK and many, many nieces and nephews. Cecil will be greatly missed but will live forever in our hearts.
