Carol Newby

Carol Barnhart Newby, 62 year old, Jay Oklahoma Resident passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Hillcrest medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carol was born on June 6, 1949 in Rose, Oregon to Raymond Barnhart and Orpha Rose Barnhart. Carol worked for many years as a habilitation training specialist for the Friendship Homes in Jay, Oklahoma, as well as being a housewife. Carol enjoyed reading, gardening and especially visiting with family and friends. Carol is survived by three sons, Joshua Newby of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bill Newby and Steven Newby, one daughter Bethany Chewey and husband Rodney, of Grove, Oklahoma, three brothers Phillip Barnhart, Edward Barnhart, and Tom Barnhart, five sisters, Sherry Barnhart, Vicki Culver, Katie Dunham, Sara Blagg and Michelle Woods. Carol is also survived by grandchildren Page Newby, Casey Newby, Mackenzie Moles and five other grandchildren as well as two great grandchildren. No Services are planned.
