Carla Collins

Carla Jean Collins of Nowata, OK passed from this life and went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. She was born on December 6, 1936 in Nowata, OK to Carl Driskill and Margaret Conner Driskill. After graduating from Nowata High School she married Dalbert Collins of Delaware, OK. She and Dalbert raised two children, Kelly and Sally. Carla worked for 43 years as a secretary at Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, OK. In retirement Carla enjoyed three passions, her family, reading and church. Through the years she served in many positions at First Christian Church of Nowata. She had worked as a Sunday School Teacher, Elder, Church Board Chairperson and President of the Disciples Women's Group. In addition, she also served as Worship Commission Chair and Liaison for Community Resources. Carla was preceded in death by; her husband, Dalbert; father and mother, Carl and Margaret Driskill; and sister, Linda Seaver. She is survived by; Kelly and Sherry Collins of Collinsville OK; Sally and Mindy Collins of Tulsa, OK. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Chad and Casey Collins of Collinsville, OK. Other survivors include three brothers and one brother-in-law, Charles and Glenda Driskill of Bartlesville, OK; Phillip and Glenda Driskill of Wagoner, OK; Steven and Betty Driskill of Enid, OK; and A.R. Seaver of Bartlesville, OK.
