Carl Jones

Carl Eugene Jones, 71 of Muskogee, OK died Thursday March 1, 2012 at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa. He was born March 6, 1940 in Vinita, OK to Silas and Lela Wagnon Jones. Carl was raised and educated in Vinita, graduating from Vinita High School. He and Linda Covey was united in marriage on December 3, 1978 in Tulsa and moved to Muskogee in 1978. Carl was a Convenience store Manager retiring after thirty eight years with Quik Trip and Get N Go stores. He enjoyed bowling, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan, collecting baseball cards and playing tennis. But Carl most enjoyed spending quality time with his family. Carl leaves behind his wife Linda of the home, six children, Karl David Jones of Vinita, Karla Ruth Hale Durant OK., Darryl Eugene Jones of Owasso, OK., Terri Michelle Higgins of Vinita, Fred Alan Howard of Jacksonville, FL., and Amanda Mae Jones of the home. Also, 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Graveside Funeral services will be Friday March 9, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. Ray Harrison officiating under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
