Caleb Barnwell

Caleb Clark Barnwell, passed away in Zena, Oklahoma, Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at the age of 26. Caleb was born on July 14, 1985, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Eddie Barnwell and Leann (Woods) Barnwell. At the age of 3, Caleb and his family moved to Broken Bow for 6 years and then Warner for 5 years until moving back to Jay, Oklahoma, for the start of his 8th grade year. Caleb excelled at many things while in high school, whether it be football, basketball, track or cross country. Caleb was a standout in running and he carried that talent on to the collegiate level at Pittsburg State University where he garnished All-Conference as a freshman. Caleb also enjoyed golfing, fishing, horseshoes, concerts, grilling and hanging out with his buddies. Most of all, he loved to be around his family and his fiancé, Danielle. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Frankie Woods. He is survived by his fiancé, Danielle Caudle, of Jay, OK; parents Eddie and Leann Barnwell of Jay, OK; siblings: Case Barnwell of Jay, OK, Colten Woods of Salina, OK, and Kelsey Barnwell of Jay, OK; grandparents: Leonard Woods of Jay, OK, Jim Barnwell of Pryor, OK, and Wanda Fogleson of Claremore, OK; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Services will be held at Mt. Hermon Church on June 25, 2012, at 10 a.m. with James Bryant, presiding. He will be laid to rest at the Duffield Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK.
