Buanita Mcnelly

Grove, OK - Buanita Florene McNelly, 83, died Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Buanita was born August 14, 1923 at Neodesha, Kansas to Bonnie Edgar Cowden and Molissa (VanDusen) Cowden. She had been a Grove resident for the past 20 years, moving there from Bentonville, Arkansas. Buanita married William "Bill" McNelly on February 5, 1943 at Wichita, Kansas. She retired in 1964 from Cessna Aircraft after 17 years of service. Buanita was of the Baptist faith. Survivors are her husband of 63 years, Bill McNelly, of the home; one daughter, Deborah Diane Shaw and her husband, Charles of Grove; five grandchildren, Jacob Ellis Dee, Micah Allen Dee, C. Weston Shaw, Ethan Clay Shaw and Tristen Jaden Shaw; and three great-grandchildren, Maya Elizabeth Dee, Preston Hawkeye Zuniga and Brielle Renee Dee. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tammy Darlene McNelly. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2006 at Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Hamill officiating. Interment will be Tuesday, August 29 at White Chapel Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas, under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
