Bonnie Sue Brown Kays died Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at the age of 54 while awaiting a liver transplant. She was born on December 17, 1952 in Pryor, OK to Homer and Loretta Brown of Langley. Bonnie grew up in Langley and attended Ketchum Public Schools where she formed many friendships and never allowed for a dull moment. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Masters degree in Counseling from Northeastern State University. She enjoyed working as the residential therapist in the girl's dorm at Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, OK. An eternal source of fun and laughter, Bonnie always knew how to find the humor in any situation. She never knew a stranger and never hesitated to give her advice or express her opinion. Bonnie loved shopping, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren, who truly were the center of her universe and the lights of her life. Throughout her years, she cultivated a large circle of friends and family who loved and adored her. Bonnie Sue Brown Kays was preceded in death by her brother, Dickie Lee Brown in April 2004, and two of her closest life-long friends. She is survived by her parents, Homer and Loretta Brown of Langley, her daughter Lora Clark and husband David of Wagoner, son John Brown and wife Robin of Langley, sister Diana Bruce and husband Dee of Langley, and her grandchildren Cameron, Sheridan, and Mahala Clark of Wagoner, Kyle and Ella Brown of Langley, as well as numerous other close friends and family members. Services will be held at First Southern Baptist Church at Ketchum, Ok. on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Public viewing will be held on Thursday 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley, OK. The family will be available for you to offer condolences or share a warm memory from 6-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nazih Zuhdi Liver Transplant Institute at the Integris Baptist Medical Center Foundation in OK City.
