Beverly Rowand

Beverly Rowand, 56 year old, Afton, Oklahoma area resident passed away Wednesday December 22, 2010. Beverly was born on May 22, 1954 in French Camp, California to Adolfus and Georgia (Hendren) Potter. Beverly graduated from high school in Linden, California, and harvested walnuts before working in a candy store as a clerk and later a manger. She married Ross Rowand on May 26, 1972 in Stocton, California. Beverly was a member of the Church of Christ in Grove, Oklahoma. She was the kind of person who simply loved the outdoors, she enjoyed hunting, especially squirrel hunting and was a avid fisher, whether it was deep sea fishing or just out on a pond or lake. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Beverly is survived by her husband Ross, of the home, and two sisters Euvena, of Lemon Grove, California and Dafena of Mantikie, California. A memorial service for Beverly will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday December 30, 2010 at the Church of Christ in Grove, Oklahoma, Brother Doung Rainbolt will officiate. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
