Betty Keithley

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK...918-253-3222....Betty Lee Keithley, passed away at Monroe Manor in Jay, OK on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the age of 92. Betty was born on January 19, 1923 in Lake City, CO, the daughter of the late Dwight Sanders and Lee Ida (Lindsey) Sanders. Betty and her family moved from Colorado to Indiana for a short period before moving to Jay, OK where she attended Jay High School. She married Raymond Keithley on December 9, 1939 in Gravette, AR. They made their home in the Jay area where they worked the farm all of their lives. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, crocheting, gardening, and canning. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother Jack Lindsey Sanders. She is survived by her son Jim Keithley and his wife Shirley of Jay, OK; three daughters: Virginia Harris and her husband Oliver of Broken Arrow, OK, Betty Hines and her husband Jim of Jay, OK, and Jackie Wolfe and her husband Ron of Jay, OK; one sister Patty Tosh and her husband Ardy J. of Tulsa, OK; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be held at Mount Hermon Cemetery in Jay, OK on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2PM with Pastor Gene Fulcher, presiding. The family will greet friends on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 1PM to 3PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK.
