Betty Weaver

Betty Jo Weaver, age 85 of Vinita, died Sunday, May 22, 2011. Betty was born in Vinita on May 14, 1926, the daughter of John and Edna (Paulding) Willis. She was a 1944 graduate of Big Cabin High School. On August 5, 1944 she was united in marriage to George Weaver in Pryor, Ok. Together they raised two children. Betty enjoyed interior decorating, sewing, gardening, and travel. She was a member of the Timberhill Church of Christ. Survivors include her loving husband George Weaver of the home, daughter Rita Johnston and husband Herb of Lubbock, TX, three grandsons: Jason and Andrea Weaver of Fairland, Herb Johnston II of Alicante, Spain, and Jonathan Johnston of Denver, Co, and five great grandchildren: Alba Johnston, Alex Johnston, Emily Weaver, Ashley Weaver, and Cayleb Weaver. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Edna Willis, son Steven Weaver, and one brother John Willis Jr. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Big Cabin Cemetery with Pastor James Woodall officiating.
