Barbara Anne Pierce, was born March 13, 1955 in Bartlesville, OK the daughter of John Leonard Pierce and Dorothy Violet (Thompson) Pierce. She died from metastatic Breast Cancer Wednesday September 20, 2006 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, OK. While growing up north of Talala, OK she helped her parents manage Philson Farms for Phil Phillips. She attended Oologah-Talala public Schools where as a senior she was crowned basketball homecoming queen. After graduating in 1973 she attended Tri-County Tech. Barb spent the rest of her adult life in and around the Bartlesville area. She worked as an administrative assistant at 1st. National / Weststar Bank for approximately 20 years. In 1995 she started her own bookkeeping business, which she was still operating upon becoming ill. She had, also worked part time at Quality Vision for the past three years. Barb became the mother of twins 12 years ago and has spent most of her time since then involved with them and their activities. She coached her daughter's basketball and softball teams. After learning of her cancer three months ago, she was the rock for everyone around her. Her strength, courage and even orneriness will bring awe and a smile to those who loved her. She leaves to cherish the memories of their "mom", son, Justin Michael Pierce and wife Amber Renee and expectant baby; son, Heath Weston Arnold and wife Amanda Dawn and two year old granddaughter Morgan Rose, all of Bartlesville, Son, Roy Thomas Barker and daughter Beth Ann Barker, of Ochelata, aunts, Susie McCormick, Thelma Schmidt, Betty Meek, Juanita Robertson and Gladys Enterline, two nephews, three nieces, and a loving "family of friends". Funeral services will be Saturday September 23, 2006 at the First Assembly of God in Bartlesville at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Darryl Wootton officiating under the direction of Neekamp - Luginbuel Funeral Home.
