Argyle Baker

Argyle Ray "Pete" Baker, age 63 and former Vinita resident, died Monday, September 27, 2010 in Douglasville, GA. Pete was born in Fairland, OK on June 7, 1947 the son of Ezra and JoAnn (Keener) Baker. He was a graduate of Fairland High School. On December 16, 1978 he was united in marriage to Linda Jo Jennings and together they raised three children. Pete worked at the Oklahoma Forensic Center retiring in 1998. He loved fishing, hunting, and his archery. Survivors include his wife Linda of the home, children: Johnny Ray Baker of Oklahoma City, Amelia Jo Clemans and husband Edward of Ft. Bragg, N.C., and Andrew Joseph Baker and wife Kasandra also of Ft. Bragg, N.C., grandchild Edward Clemans III, siblings: Matt Baker of Tahlequah, Barbara King of Fairland, Hiawatha Boyd of Fairland, and James Baker of Fairland. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Joe Dockery officiating.
