Angela Harris

October 5, 1972 — March 22, 2011

Angi began her eternal life on March 22, 2011. She was born on October 5, 1972 in Rolla, Missouri to Nicky James Harris and the late Jim Harris. Angi attended schools in Georgia, Mississippi, and Arkansas before moving to Chelsea in 1984. A 1990 Chelsea High School graduate, Angi continued her education at NEO, majoring in music and completing her two-year Associates degree. She also attended Rogers State University. Angi was proud to be a Chelsea Dragon and always eager to show her school spirit as the Chelsea Green Dragon mascot for three years. While in high school, Angi was part of the gifted and talented program and won many awards with the Mock Trial and Mock United Nations. Angi was also a proud member of the Fire of the Dragon Chelsea High School Band for five years. In college, Angi was an active member of the Baptist Student Union, taking many mission trips with the group. She was also a member of the NEO Golden Norse Band. Angi was active in her community. She was a member, director, and current board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Chelsea. While there, she touched many lives by mentoring the kids with guidance, love, and positive reinforcement. Angi's greatest gift in life was her ability to love her family, friends, and classmates unconditionally. While the family realized how big Angi's love was, it is in these times of needed strength that we have learned that her love had touched more lives than ever imagined. Those beginning their celebration before Angi include her dad Jim, maternal MeeMaw Billie, paternal grandmas Pat and Imogene, paternal grandpas James and Warren, and great-grandparents Ras and Ludie Epperson and Ephraim Harris. Those remaining: Wendy and Logan Miller of the home, mother Nicky James Harris and Lee Greenwood of Chelsea, grandfather Melvin James of Chelsea, sister Errin Clocker and husband Kevin of Broken Arrow, sister Lindsey Harris and Shelly of Chelsea, brother Eric Harris and wife Sarah of Claremore, and niece Rylee Clocker and nephew Reid Clocker of Broken Arrow. Other family includes many uncles, aunts, cousins, and countless other relatives. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011at the Luginbuel Funeral Home.
