Amethyst Dawn White, 3, resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away at her home on Thursday, June 2, 2011. Amethyst was born on November 30, 2007 in Bartlesville. She was the daughter of Margie A. Johnston and Kevin D. White, Bartlesville. Although she lived only 3-1/2 short years, she left a lifetime of love and wonderful memories. She was an extremely bright little girl with a beautiful smile and loads of energy. She was a joy to everyone she touched. Amethyst loved the Bartlesville Kiddie Park. She attended last year's reading program at the Bartlesville Public Library and was looking forward to attending again this year. She loved anything having to do with Thomas the Train, Sesame Street, anything on the Disney Channel, Barney and Friends, Sid the Science Kid and Sponge Bob. She also enjoyed many movies, such as Tinkerbell, Charlie Brown, Phineas and Ferb, The Littlest Angel, Toy Story Movies, especially the character "Woody" and Cars. Among many favorite toys and books, she had a book of Bible songs and knew exactly which buttons to push to play her favorites. Amethyst enjoyed watching the television program, "Tiny Tots for Jesus" on the 3ABN (Three Angels Broadcasting Network). Her grandma and Uncle "T" would record the programs and Amethyst loved viewing them over and over again. Amethyst loved Jesus and attended the Seventh-day Adventist Church with her mother, grandma and Uncle "T". She always had two quarters to put in the offering plates, one each, during worship hour every Sabbath. During her lifetime, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, "Nana" Carol Woods. She left behind her father, Kevin D. White of Bartlesville; mother, Margie A. Johnston of the family home, and Margie's finance, James Deason of Bartlesville; maternal grandmother, Nellie Mae Johnston of the family home; uncles, "Uncle T" Tommy L. Johnston, Jr. of Bartlesville, David Chitty and Leon Whillingham, both of Tulsa; Godparents, Josh and Jess Taylor of Bartlesville; God-grandparents, Adeyemi and Rita (Roberts) Ajao of Tyler, Texas; as well as numerous cousins, extended family and very close friends. Amethyst was expected to enter this world when her maternal grandfather, Tommy L. Johnston passed away on July 3, 2007. Tommy was looking forward to being a grandpa. If anyone wants to make a memorial contribution in Amethyst's name, gifts can be forwarded to Tiny Tots for Jesus Special Fund, c/o Three Angels Broadcasting Network, P.O.
