Aleta Foster

Aleta was born July 31, 1919 in Parsons, Kansas, daughter of Archie W. and Effie Edna (Bean) Montgomery. Aleta grew up in Parsons, KS where she graduated from high school and attended Jr. College. Aleta married Charles R. Foster on March 7, 1942 and together they shared 57 years of marriage until his passing in 1998. Aleta was a home maker and enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist church of Bartlesville for over 50 years where she loved her friends and the "Circle" group. Aleta enjoyed spending time with her many friends and family members, especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind, to honor her memories: son, Ron Foster; daughter, Judy Foster; daughter-in-law, Gail P. Foster; grandchildren: Brandon Foster, Jill Curry and Husband Robin Curry, and Pamela Reeder; great grandchildren: Emma Curry, Foster Curry and Kyrsten Bacon; special cousins: Carolyn Iriart, Tiffany Aldrich, Charlie Aldrich and Pat D'Spain; Nieces: Fenna Gatty and Sara Clark; Great Niece: Haley Clark; and Nephew: John Gatty. Aleta was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles R. Foster, Sr.; her parents; sister, Eloise Elam; and eldest son, Charles R. Foster, Jr. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church; P.O. Box 1136; Bartlesville, OK 74005. Funeral services for Mrs. Foster will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Sneed Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Bartlesville. Dr. Kevin Tully of the First United Methodist Church will preside over the services, with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemories.com.
