Alberta Dikeman

Memorial Services for Alberta will beheld 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at Talala Christian Church in Talala, OK with Pastor Tom Jones officiating. Alberta passed away on May 30, 2011 at the Veteran's Center in Claremore, OK. Alberta was born on July 2, 1923 in rural Vinita, OK to Roy Ernest Hunt and Bertha Myrtle (Morgan) Hunt. She graduated from Coffeyville, KS Field Kinley High School in 1941. She married Wayne Herschell Galloway on Dec. 7, 1941. Wayne passed away in 1972. They had two children, Randy and Carol Galloway. She married Cale Dikeman in 1975 and moved to Talala. She worked for the Nowata Daily Star for over 30 years. She has been a resident in the Claremore Veterans Center for 5 ½ years. She has been a life time member of the Eastern Star. Survivors of Alberta are her daughter Carol Galloway of Bartlesville, OK: stepson, Butch Dikeman and wife Diane of Talala. Her grandchildren Rebel and her husband Ben Smith of Fayetteville, AR., Amber Carter of Bartlesville, OK., Sarah and Benji Wolter of Kansas, Erich and wife Chelley Dikeman of Talala, Hayley Dikeman of Tulsa, OK., Heather and her husband Rick Turnbill of Keller, TX and eleven great grandchildren. Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Wayne Galloway and Cale Dikeman and son Randy Galloway. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service.
